Y'know, it's really hard to feel good about your art when you put time and effort into a piece, only to have to brushed over in favor of something that abuses the dodge and burn tool.
I like to draw, it's something that's always been fun, but I just don't see the point sometimes if I'm just going to be tossed away like a used tissue.

It’s been coming to my attention more and more lately, how many people in said fandom are inspired and enjoy my art and ideas. All the fandoms I’ve been in, it’s usually been with friends, so the praise seemed more like ‘You’re my friend, so I like what you do’, and I didn’t really see myself as having really good ideas. You don't know me, I don't know you. but i saw your journal and quickly had to write SOMETHING. It hurts to see any artist think like that. art is about having fun. Screw what others think. i think if you're enjoying yourself, it shows through your art. heck, i don't consider myself the greatest thing out there... But then again, I don't really care. I feel we should try our best not to compare to others. Besides, as your friends will agree, i looked through your stuff and think you have a real gift. it would be a shame for you to stop your drawing and creative muses.
